When it comes to Cryptocurrency, talk is anything but cheap. What was once a trendy but often unappreciated alternative to fiat currency has grown a cult-like following during the past year — which should come as no surprise to anyone. When the global pandemic bought the world to its knees, many were robbed of their financial security and by extension a future they could rely on. The search for alternative means of income began, and brought with it a fervent interest in meme stocks and cryptocurrency. Since then, many a millionaire have been made, but also fortunes lost, when word-of-mouth hype caused investors to jump on the latest bandwagon.

Like an intrepid adventurer stealing treasure from a slumbering dragon, the DeFi space can bring fantastic wealth to shrewd investors, but also get them severely burned. With rug-pulls and honeypot scams becoming increasingly prevalent and still no regulation in sight, many new to the space are at a loss as to where to turn for a project they can truly believe in.

Enter DragonMusk.

A community run project that was born from the ashes of a pump-and-scheme, DragonMusk isn’t interested in short term, arbitrary gains. Led by Australian entrepreneur Ralf Sleem and backed by a talented leadership team that include website designers, social media experts, graphic designers and an author, it is his aim to create something truly special. “Our community have put their trust and faith in us, and we refuse to let them down. But we are creating something real and lasting, and that takes time,” Raff says. “You don’t start with a skyscraper on day one, you build the framework slowly, and then add to it piece by piece, until it stands tall above everything around it. That is what we are doing here.”

Certainly DragonMusk seems to be slowly drowning out the Moonboy warcries of ‘When lambo?’ and ‘when Binance?’ and replacing it with real discourse on how to meticulously create something genuine and exciting that hopes to follow in the steps of recent success projects like Safemoon. The community — which is based on Telegram — is 2600 members strong and growing daily. It is also perhaps one of the most active on the group messaging app, despite being only a fraction of the size of others. “People are starting to hear about how great our community is, and coming just to check us out,” says Raff with a proud smile. “Our Dragons as we call them are ferociously protective of this amazing community, but so welcoming of new members too — going out of their way to help them, which is so rare in this space and a testament to what we are building.”

Certainly the community also appears to be dedicated to doing whatever they can to show their unwavering support. Due to the project being community run, the marketing currently comes solely from member contribution — and each time they step up to the plate. During the past week alone, over 25BNB was raised for combined marketing efforts to get new eyes on the project, and spread awareness. Furthermore a recent competition even had once member creating a song entirely from scratch. It seems the Dragon community are a proud bunch, and they don’t shy away from showing it. They know when to have fun too apparently — with the leadership team creating a Godfather-esque photo as a fun extra for the community after the aforementioned contest (displayed above).

However, arguably the most impressive element of DragonMusk all is the team’s dedication to the cause. Fully doxxed, each member of the admin show no signs of giving up, instead creating an entire brand overhaul that includes a new logo, website, increased social media presence, and a packed roadmap that points to big things in the future — including weekly scheduled AMAs, a dedicated podcast and even DragonSwap — a DeFi currency exchange set to rival the much lambasted PancakeSwap. Not to mention the 24/7 presence of the team on Telegram ,which beyond giving investors peace of mind, also means that they can get the answers to any questions they might have, in real time, via a real person, wherever they are in the world. “We aren’t afraid to show who we are because we are proud of this project and are here to stay,” says Raff, “and we have no need to rely on bots to give people the information they need, because we make sure at least one of us is always there for them.”

So where do Raff and his team see DragonMusk going in the long term? When asked his answer is simple. “Right to the top,” he says. “We are a community in the truest spirit of the word. And when you have a foundation that strong, you are primed for success.”
